We're seeking Session Facilitators and Room Managers for events August 20-22 (see below for details!). The roles in this application offer an honorarium or other benefits. We aim to have representation from a wide range of cultural organizations from across the US and around the world, with different backgrounds and lived experiences.
Applicants are asked to:

Provide a statement or video sharing why they are interested in these roles and their experience with accessibility, inclusion and the arts.

LEAD Room Manager
Room Managers serve as a room “host” for a session space during the conference. They support the session by welcoming guests to the session space as they arrive, assisting with finding seating, checking the room setup, and resetting the room during breaks. During the session and with the Facilitator, they will also support session activities such as distributing materials and passing or identifying someone to pass microphones for discussions and questions. Room Managers also help problem-solve during sessions, including contacting staff for assistance.
- How and When: In person during the Conference August 20, August 21, and August 22
- Time Commitment:
- Room Managers will be assigned to a space all three days of the LEAD Conference (August 20, August 21, and August 22) and will support all sessions scheduled in that space. The schedule will include approximately 4 sessions between 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. each day.
- Room Managers are also asked to attend a 1-hour virtual meeting and orientation before the conference. A walk-through orientation will be scheduled in the late afternoon-early evening of August 19 at the Huntington Convention Center.
- Honorarium: $200.00 per day; Registration fee for the main conference August 20 – August 22 is waived.
LEAD Session Facilitator
Facilitators support the presenters to manage the session time, including starting and ending the session on schedule; make announcements, including important reminders or conference updates provided by the LEAD team and with the Room Monitor, support session activities such as distributing materials and passing or identifying someone to pass microphones for discussions and questions. Facilitators are required to arrive 10 minutes prior to session starting and also help problem-solve, including contacting staff for assistance. Facilitators may be put in contact with session presenters in advance of the conference.
- How and When: In person during the Conference (August 20-August 22)
- Time Commitment:
- Varies. Facilitators are asked to support at least one session. Sessions will be scheduled collaboratively based on the facilitator’s interests and availability.
- Facilitators are also asked to attend a 1-hour virtual meeting and orientation in advance of the conference.
- Honorarium: $50.00 per session facilitated
